Huzzah hello again guysss I hope you don't get bored I'm appearing again and again lol. After yesterday I finished my first post after oh-so-long-time, I'm gonna (force myself to) be active again in blogging.
Red eyes. When I heard this phrase, I immediately thinking of sore eyes, irritation too. But no, I'm not gonna say anything about that since I don't have any proper title to discuss about that. What I mean with red eyes is, red iris. Yes, like those eyes in animes and cartoons. And vampires too.
I always love red eyes since the first day I saw ChibiUsa from Sailor Moon. Her red eyes reminded me a lot of rabbits (that was what Black Moon people calls her right LOL) and it goes well with her pink hair too. And when I finally succeeded in wearing my first cosmetic lenses, I've been searching for the red ones to know and see how will I look in red lenses.
After some phone calls to the optician, I gave up because they only provided red lenses for HARD lens and can't be made for normal eyes. Sigh. Still had to wait few years, and in meantime I've tried some of the unusual-colours lenses. Striking green, gold, flower-pattern blue, crystal brown, thick-ring blue, pink etc etc. I've never tried one color: violet.
Until few months ago I found a shop who has a ready stock of the red lens I've always wanted (after my usual shop never restock this red lens) and she sells it in PLANO. YISSSS. I immediately bought the lenses along with another one on promotion price.
Here comes the EOS Blytheye Red. EOS has been known as an infamous Korean brand for cosmetic lense because the comfort and the water content. I owned one with the same brand and same type just in a different colour. My first Blytheye was Blytheye Green which I also fell in love with. It has striking green colour and very noticeable even from distance. Since my eyes are perfectly healthy, I always bought lenses with striking colour so people will know I'm wearing cosmetic lens, because in my thought, subtle-coloured cosmetic lenses just aren't for me. I bought this red lenses from Dreamie Chupa on Facebook.
Let's move on to the thing uhuhu I'm so happy!
The packaging is a regular carton box, filled with two vial bottles containing the red lenses. I always hate vial bottles since I never successfully opening the bottle without hurting my fingers with super deep cuts that remained for days sigh.
The red is not really opaque, but I knew Blytheye series has a reputation of being so opaque it covers your real irises real good so there won't be any of your real eye colour left.
And yeah look at that super red colour. Although in the indoor light it won't look this bright. I was facing daylight when taking this picture, so it won't be as red as on the picture if you're indoor: no one will notice if they don't pay close attention of you since it will look like a reddish wine brown lenses. But then again, wearing such striking colour lens is meant to be seen by others, right?
Apparently I still like EOS Blytheye the most afterall. The diameter is just right and keeping me from tiring my eyes too much. I can use EOS around 6 hours without eye drops in the first few months when the water content is still good. After few months passed, it's still good but I have to drop the solution more often.
The thickness is almost as thin as a hair strand, I almost feel I'm wearing nothing although my eyes were already red (the iris of course). Comfort is still top notch for EOS, I really like this lens! ;D
Final verdicts?
I love the colour, scores 5 of 5
Comfort? 4 of 5
Price? Very affordable. 5 of 5
Will I buy it again? DEFINITELY. But maybe after I try other lenses in my waiting-list lol.
Can be used for cosplays too. The colour is just right for those red-eyed characters.
Will you buy this red lenses? Any other red lenses you can recommend to me? Please write it down on the comment section and thank you for reading! > u <
