Review: Skinfood Aloe Sun BB Cream
Allo ladies~! More BB Cream review! ^^ So many people like BB cream so it won't kill if I review each and every BB cream I've tried right? Kkk~
So, today I will be reviewing Skinfood's Aloe Sun BB Cream! I got this bb cream in few sachets, so I took one and try it teehee~
Full size -- buy HERE |
An excellent soothing treatment with UV protection (SPF20 PA++), it especially suits people with sensitive skin. This cream leaves skin feeling moisturized while it corrects skin tone for a naturally air-brushed complexion.
Sample sachet -- 1 ml. I can use this for 6~7 times :D Aloe Sun BB Cream comes in 2 shades and I get the one in #2 Natural Beige (lucky! I didn't get to choose shades, totally forgot back then :p). And yes, it suits my skin tone quite well, although at first it seemed to be a bit too pale, but just like any other BB cream, the colour fades and matches my skin tone quite well :D
I like the texture, it's not too thick and not too watery. Just like lotion :D The final result is not dewy, not matte, it's natural finish. I love it! And the coverage's pretty good, from sheer to buildable. I think almost all BB cream have the same coverage level, and that's why I prefer BB creams over foundations now.
Until now, I found all the Skinfood's BB Cream has yellow undertone, not greyish, which I like very much. I've been trying Peach Sake Pore BB, Aloe Sun, Agave Cactus Sun, and Mushroom Multi Care BB, and they all have yellow undertone. YES!
This bb cream has faint smell of..... mm how to say it, like sweet and powdery scent. The closest smell to this bb cream I've ever know is: AMOS modeling clay. LOL I know it's ridiculous, but I think the smells are similar! The smell fades away as you finished patting your powder, don't worry :D
Let's check the coverage test below! :D

I have nothing against this bb cream, since it blends easily, has pretty nice coverage, doesn't give me breakouts, and it DOES moisturizing, maybe a bit TOO moisturizing for my skin. My facial skin is combination type, and I got uncomfortable feeling for this bb cream gave me too much moisturised feeling. And my T-zone got shiny after several hours passed, and feels sticky, too. Maybe if you had normal to dry skin type, this BB cream will suit you better. But not me.
And it's staying power is pretty good. I wore this once from 8 AM and it starts to feel like the cream's gone and leaving only its moisturising feel at 2PM on air-conditioned room. I think it will be shorter if you use it on outdoor state, and in humid and hot tropic weather like Indonesia, it will wear off in 2 hours of outdoor activity I think ^_^;;
Pros:
❤ Affordable
❤ Blends easily
❤ Coverage level O.K.
❤ It DOES moisturising
❤ Not cakey :3
❤ Smells funny ^_^;;
Cons:
❤ Well, it's way TOO moisturising for me D:

Purchase again?
Mmm.. I might say no, I want less moisturising BB cream. If this isn't that moisturising, I will stick to this one :D my friend's also using it and she loves this so much she keeps using it ^^

Hello there, here in dominican republic we have hot tropical weather too :/ i was thinking buying another one then, because my acne has gotten pretty bad, well not that bad, but is taking away my confidence. Since i have acne, i thought that because it had aloe on it, it might help me, i was hoping that it would last on your skin too :(. Any recomendations?
ReplyDeleteHi Gigi :)
DeleteI know, living in a hot tropical weather is so bothersome, moreover when we have oily skin :( I would recommend something lighter than this SF Aloe BB cream, like Etude House Shini Star BB Lotion, it has lighter texture and doesn't make skin get oily easier, but the coverage isn't something you'd expect to cover up the flaws, since it's super light it only has sheer coverage ^_^;; or if you prefer cream than lotion, I'd say Skin79 Vital BB Cream could be a great choice. Of all BB creams I've tried, Skin79 Vital BB is my favourite ^^ lasts quite long, medium to buildable coverage, and it does hold up the oil in my face for quite long :) or maybe you can try Skinfood Peach Pore Sake BB cream, it also said to prevent skin getting oily easier. I hope this helps you >,<
