Transparent Teal Star

Let's Do The Pink!

HELLO!

Without us realising, it's almost Easter, it's almost the end of March again OH MY GOD we're a month older *cries*

It's a little bit late, but I guess it's better to be late than not at all *EXCUSES BLAH*. Recently, Etude House (yes that cutipie brand from Korea) just had her tenth birthday celebrated, and they celebrated it with something which would empty her customers' wallets. Releasing new line. YES. NEW LINE.

Although it was said as a 'new line', the products are only getting new packages for short period of time and after that they will turn to normal, which we can assume it's LIMITED EDITION. What are you waiting for, grab them all! (LOL)

As you know, Etude always capture all girl's heart with cute, pinkish princess-y packaging. One glance and our hearts will melt, definitely lose to the cuteness and the all-girly theme. For the 10th anniversary, they repackage some of their products such as
Precious Mineral Cover & Bright Fit
Dear Darling Tint
Moistfull Collagen Cream
Look at My Eyes
Real Art Cleansing Oil
And they are all coming in pretty BABY PINK! Actually it's not only a repackage, since some new colours for eyeshadow and liptint are also released. That's the limited edition products, right?

Since I want a new liptint and saw this one was on discount, without thinking twice I purchased them online. I got them for around $4 each while the usual price is around $5-$6 each, depends on where you buy it.

BUY THEM ALL!!!
No, I'm just kidding, they're all my friends' shares, since it's super cheap so we bought a lot of them at once.

From what you can see, the packaging is still in the same shape with the older/original version, only with bright pink/shocking pink screw cap, in a shape almost all Etude House's products have.

The Let's Pink! edition comes in three shades
#5 Cherry Red
#7 Plum Red
#8 Pomegranate Red
Where's the #6?? Apparently, #6 WITCH RED is a version for Halloween edition, with the same package but with black cap (as for Halloween thing), and I'm still wondering why they put Halloween edition in the middle of Let's Pink ones.

As usual, the lip tint comes in a clear plastic vial, with long handle attached to the screw cap. The applicator is just in usual shape of doe-foot, which I couldn't ask for something else since I haven't found any other shape and love it with my heels over my head, so, yeah, it's okay I guess? It's not that hard to apply with this kind of applicator, so I have no complaint.

Judging from the colour, actually I was pretty shocked to see how bright red this one was (I got mine in #8 Pomegranate Red), just like my very first liptint which came from the Sweden brand and I was quite dissatisfied with that one so I was afraid the same thing will happen with this one as well. To be honest, I love this kind of red if it's NOT for my face since my skin tone is not that fair like all Korean girls. But, oh well, I bought it anyway.

BLOODY RED. As red as fresh blood it looks like I just attempted suicide but I wasn't (LOL). The texture is a bit more jellish, perhaps just like the other Dear Darling Tint, I can't say anything about it since I didn't own any of it. But I can say the texture is like that--jellish--compared to Tony Moly's Delight Tony Tint (I have one in Cherry Red which resulted mauve-ish lip colour, red with blue undertone) watery texture. I prefer this Etude's texture anyway.

It comes to a bright orange-ish red after blended! Like it? I LOVE IT.

One thing to take note on, this tint sets quite fast so if you put some dots on your lips without spreading it ASAP with your finger, it will leave a red blot stain on your lips which is definitely not something we'll want to be seen with.

Unlike any other lip tints, which have bitter taste if eaten (yeah I know we've been there a LOT), for example, the sister of this product, Fresh Cherry Tint (FCT). FCT sure has sweet smell, but it's so damn bitter if you eat it (accidentally or intentionally, the scent is misleading, I know, girls), the Let's Pink edition is not that bitter actually. Yes, stupid me had tried licked the tint, and it's still a bit bitter but with a lot sour taste, and it tastes and smells just like real pomegranate. WUT? It smells sweet and sour, but it's really nice and I never thought I'll like it. Tony Moly's Delight Tony Tint doesn't even have nice scent! I'm so amazed (LOL yes I'm easy to impress).

As for staying power, I've tried using it in few ways.
* On bare lips, it will stay around 5-6 hours including drinking excluding eating oily things
* Based with lip balm, it stays shorter, around 3 hours or 4 at max
* Based with concealer/BB/foundation, it stays around 3 or 4 hours

The only minus I found on this liptint is, that it's quite drying for my lips. I already have dry lips to begin with, so I have to put a layer of lip balm beneath or over the tint to keep my lips from drying like crazy. I found my lips flaking if I rub it after wearing this tint, but maybe it's my lips' problem. Whether you have pretty, moist lips, or dry like mine, lip balm is very encouraged to prevent your lips from drying.

VERDICTS

Let's see how it turns out on me! Beware of shameless selfies!
