Daily Moisturiser Holy Grail!

Hello gals! Sup! It's been awhile since my last review, I guess. After that skin-disaster I went through lol. I'm always wanting supple, hydrated, smooth skin, and of course having healthy glow like those girls on Korean skincare advertising is one of my life goals. Yes, I really like how natural they look even in makeups and that's probably because of their healthy skin and tons of skincare XD

After my trial kit on Innisfree Canola Honey set ran out, I'm trying to find a replacement, the more affordable one. And after some researches, I decided on this one.

INNISFREE GREEN TEA BALANCING CREAM

Innisfree again? YES. I'm now considering Innisfree as my holy grail brand, and now almost all of my skincare comes from Innisfree. From daily facial foam to sleeping pack. I'm that head over heels about Innisfree.

The reason is quite simple. The quality is good, the price is quite affordable, works well on me, having that 5-free system, and the thing all design students (and probably all girls) will fall for: the packaging is cute. UH YES that was lame but it's one of the reasons Innisfree is my holy grail brand. I don't know about the makeup products but maybe I'll try any soon (DUH MY WALLET IS SCREAMING).

PACKAGING

As I already said. The simple yet cute packaging of Innisfree products always get me bad. I bought this one when the packaging hasn't renewed yet and the newer version is cuter, but well it's okay this one is cute as well.
It came in light lime plastic body and darker green as its screw-type lid with innisfree logo imprinted on the top. Looks quite big for a facial cream, it only contains 50 grams of product despite the size. I was hoping this contains more than 50 grams but apparently a little goes a long way is how this product works. I bought this on around mid August 2015 and it ran out on around the end of January 2016. Fifty grams for six months, twice a day? I'd buy it again.

Innisfree has this Green Tea Line for each skin type, each line has its own essence, skin (toner), lotion (Balancing line only), and cream. The Green Tea line is for moisturising purpose which all skin type definitely needs.
Green Tea Fresh line for oily skin,
Green Tea Balancing line for combination skin, and
Green Tea Moisture line for dry skin.

HYGIENE

Like any other Korean products, this one is also thinking about the hygiene and shelf-life for its contents. They sealed the cream in a thin, white circle plastic cover with another ring-shaped one which clutched tight to the body and the white circle cover, keeping the circle sticking to the body. Too bad this one doesn't come with spatula, which means you have to buy your own spatula, using the one(s) you have, or dig into the jar with your finger.

THE CREAM

As we all can see, the cream is pure white, quite thick consistency from a glance, but actually it's not that thick. It glides easily to be spread all over the face, and once again, a little goes a long way. I probably was using this a bit more than a little because of my previous skin condition (dry, flaking, HORRIBLE) to keep my skin moisturised and hydrated at least during the night. It's a bit sticky for people who prefers matte skin, but actually I prefer if the cream is a bit sticky so I know it stays on my skin before I apply sleeping mask or keeping my skin hydrated through the night. That probably just me, but well, I'm assured if it happens with my cream LOL.

PERFORMANCE

At first, I got few small pimples after a couple days of usage, probably because my skin is not used to the product yet and it's adjusting with the product. I used another brand of facial moisturiser before this one arrived on my mail, and it wasn't Innisfree so I guess it MIGHT be the cause, but I can't say for sure since it didn't happen with my Canola Honey range. Then maybe the green tea extract LOL I have no idea.
At first I was hesitating of taking skincare with green tea substance as I thought it's alike with tea tree, and I tried a Sweden product of facial foam with tea tree extract and it resulted in pimples growing everywhere like mold and mushroom during monsoon. Immediate dispose. I think it was like 10 to 13 years ago when I started taking care of my skin--because my mom told me to.

Betting on a few bucks, I finally bought this Green Tea Balancing Cream, and THANK GOD IT DIDN'T BREAK ME OUT. A few pimples appeared at first but after few days of continuous usage of the cream and POOF they're gone. Though the pimples left some mark, yes, but I'm sure it will vanished along with time. Quite worried about it since I haven't got any product to get rid zitmarks but thank God to whoever invented foundations and concealer which can hide the marks before it's gone.

It has this refreshing smell, kinda citrusy but nothing even near green tea-ish smell. Lovely scent, not too overpowering for me, yet I guess for those who are sensitive to scented products might want to avoid it. If you're curious, probably you can try the trial kit or sample sachet first. Overall, the smell is nice and it doesn't last long so the smell is not disturbing even just a bit for me.

The cream works well on my skin. I use this twice a day, after every shower, and adding a bit more cream after the afternoon shower. My skin sure feels a bit sticky with the product, but I found my skin was getting better and better with each usage. It feels more supple, and it's like the cream is hydrating and moisturising my skin quite well.

VERDICTS

+ Moisturising and hydrating, keeping skin supple and bouncy and glowy (YES!).
+ Lives up to the ads, it really is moisturising my dry skin and now it's back to normal! YAY!
+ Free from parabens, synthetic colorant, mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients, and imidazolidinyl urea (it's a chemical substance working as preservative).
+ CUTE PACKAGING (+1000000 FOR THIS LOL).
+ A little goes a long way. Even for using a bit more on the night and even using it for the neck area, the product still lasted for a good 6 months.
- Not available in Indonesia (no physical store, so it's quite hard to get. But well if there IS any physical store I bet this will cost at least twice the online price).
- A bit pricey but still affordable, tagged around IDR190,000 to IDR230,000 depends on where you buy it. I got mine from Matryoshcat Shop on Carousell (http://carousell.com/matryoshcat) for around IDR190,000.

BUY IT AGAIN?

YES. DEFINITELY A YES.
If this is an American Idol show, I'll be the smiling-towards-contestant Simon Cowell, giving the person on stage a standing ovation.

And I DID. I bought the second jar along with the Green Tea Sleeping Pack and Green Tea Cleansing Foam. YES I AM THAT CRAZED ABOUT THIS LINE. Probably will buy the third jar after this runs out if there will be no other product which suits me and my wallet perfectly like this.

Look at the new packaging! Really loving the more vivid colour, the embossed brand on the sid of the lid, and cuter green colour! WHAT NOT TO LOVE? The new packaging is a bit bigger than the old one, but the cream performs just the same, or better, if I may say. Probably because this is my second jar and my skin is already better than during the first jar usage, or maybe Innisfree really improved the newer one's performance. Either way, I love this product, SO MUCH.

Probably will buy my third jar if this still works great on me :p

The new packaging and the older one side by side
Okay that's all for the review, thank you for reading and I will be glad if you leave any comments and--can we follow each other?
THANKS BUNCHES! *kisses*
