Transparent Teal Star

Review: Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum

Hello ladies! Back with my review! Tee-hee... You all must be wondering what's gotten into me, writing all these reviews everyday like there are no tomorrow! LOL! Nope I just feel like writing heheheh~

Recently, I got the sampler for Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum which I always want to try but I'm running out of funds (LoL), although this serum only costs about $14 (IDR145,000) here.

Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum

Above is the full size of the serum, pretty ancient-looking frosted bottle which got my attention also. I'm a sucker for cute or elegant packaging, though. Hahaha.

Thanks God I got the sampler so I didn't need to buy the full size, it will freak me out if I bought the full size then the next day after I used the serum, I broke out. Kill me. Kill me now. Haha just kidding. The sampler sachet is pretty convenient, and cheap also, only IDR8,000 or about US$1,1 for 8 to 10 time usage. CHEAP. Hahaha. Each sachet contains 1 gram of serum.

....................minute, I need to rub my eyes. I feel so damn sleepy but need to write this right away or else I'll forget what I already arrange in my head.

Kay I'm back. So at first time I opened the pack, there was a faint smell of peach and something fermented, but smelt good. I like it. As I put it my face, the smell was a bit stronger but didn't last long. As soon as I finished patting the serum on my face, the smell was gone. That's pretty quick. Haha.

The serum comes in milk-white color with a bit glitter on it. Smells peachy-alcoholic drink, giving sensation of patting Jack or Johnny on your face, but doesn't dry your skin like any other alcohol (of course, this is a serum. What was I thinking? XD). I don't get it why there are any glitter on a serum, which more usual to be found on foundation or finish pact or highlighter. But after some time, the glitter wasn't showing up anymore.

See a bit of sparkly glitter on my hand? That thing shows pretty nice when it was just applied but disappeared after some times :/ I read some of the reviews for this serum, most of them said this serum is good for the ones with oily skin, and I found it quite right. I found my skin is more cleaner, less look like oil mine, for about 1-2 hours longer than usual (when I'm not using the serum). Usually my skin gets oily after 2 or 3 hours (when it's freaking hot, my skin got oily only in an hour -_-) from last powder touch, but with this serum, the matte look from the powder lasts a bit longer (results may vary, depends on your skin type and weather where you live. In this case, I have combination skin type, it gets oily easily on my eyelids, nose, and forehead. And I live in a mountain areal of a tropical country, a bit hot and humid in the day, a bit cold in the night).

Pros:
★ SMELLS NICE! I love fruity-smell things! :D
★ Absorbs easily, takes less than 15 seconds to absorb! ^^
★ Do not feel sticky. I love this one :)
★ Has small glitters. Sparkly things always got my eyes (DID NOT APPLY SO WITH EDWARD CULLEN AND FAM)
★ Oil control works fine, at least for first couple hours :)
★ NO BREAKOUTS! YAY! :D (probably bcs of the natural ingredients, Skinfood is well-known for their food-therapy makeups, that's why they always name their products with natural things :D )

Cons:
★ Glitter disappeared pretty quickly :(
★ Quite expensive, but some of people find it pretty cheap instead of buying it on the counters :p

Purchase again?
Definitely YES :)

Overall rate:
