Beauty Review: NYX SlideOn Pencil Liner

I'm getting crazed for blog writing here. Someone please stop me. Or don't?

Okay, I bought this recently from my friend, quite expensive for pencil liner, but I have no regret spending a bit more for this one.

I bought two colours, in SL07 Jet Black and SL12 Azure. Prepare, girls. I'm going to make you all fall in love with this liner.

I always heard NYX is a quite cheap brand in USA, and I think it is, since they sell this liner for only US$8 each, it's really cheap for Americans! (for another similar liner, Urban Decay's Glide On Liner costs US$18!!) And I've been looking for this thing at malls in my town but none has it D: thanks God there's a friend of mine opening pre-order for NYX! WOOT! :D

The liner comes in 18 different shades, which I love (eyeliner in 18 colours? Whoa! Who won't love it??) This liner is quite new, they launched this liner just about last year. Well, it's not that new, but it's still fabulous. LoL.

NYX known as a drugstore brand in USA, but this liner could beat up Urban Decay's Glide On 24/7 which people said "not that 24/7" on their reviews. Slide On stays longer and smudges less than UD's 24/7.


Sorry the Black one is ugly looking. I used it about 4-5 times include this review and it already looks like that. The blunt-point pencil is super nice for eyes, it won't poke your eyes and bled to death. LoL. And because of the blunt-point, it's a bit hard to make cat eyes or fish-tail end with this liner. But if you only want to line along your lid, this pencil liner is totally a turn on. The Azure one is great for lower liner or eye shadow. I think this one will look great as sharp-edged eye shadow.

When I tried them for the first time, they bear Slide On name not for nothing. THEY REALLY SLIDE ON MY LIDS EASILY, EASIER THAN SLIDING A SLEIGH ON SNOWY HILLS. I'm not exaggerating, they really DO slide easily and showing the colours first stroke. I. LIKE. IT.

Let's see how it'll look on my back of hand.

SL07 Jet black : matte, super black colour. Looks a lot like cream or gel liner, but in shape of pencil. Perfect for eyeliner (upper lash line or lower lash line or both).
SL12 Azure : shimmering sea blue, nice for lower liner or eye shadow.

Although this eyeliner didn't named with something such as "24/7", they do last long. Super long. I wore it once from 11AM til 10PM, and it only smudge a little, and that was caused by my oily lid and humid weather here where I live. If you don't have problems like I stated, then this liner is perfect for you.

GAHHH. Sorry for my indecent look, I'm about to take bath. LoL.But, yea, I love this liner, besides the fact I suck at using pencil liners. It only smudged super little, no one would notice it.

And about the water resistance, it IS true. I tried pouring water for some times, and they didn't budge even a bit. Water resistance, 5/5. Full marks.

Seeing how the liner are still there after some times soaked in water, I guess this one will goes right even you wear them while swimming. Pretty swimming, eh? LOLOLOL! XD

Smudge resistance marks: 4/5!

Tried rubbed the liner when it's already dried from waterproof test, look how great the black liner is. Did NOT smudge at all. WHOHOOOOW! :DDD the shimmer on my fingers was from rubbing it several times, and look how little the shimmer transferred onto my fingers! Resistance level 9000! Hahaha!

Rub test!

My hand was hurt from rub test. I rubbed the colours with full strength, using my fingers and tissue, but that was all I can erase. There are still some colours although I rubbed it super hard (look at last pic, my hand got red from rubbing around the colours LOL). I left it without being cleaned, and the colours were still there after I took two bath sessions :\

For the name, actually it's not only "Slide On". It's SLIDE ON, GLIDE ON, STAY ON & DEFINITELY A TURN ON WATER PROOF, EXTREME SHINE EYE LINER (This eye liner is so good, the name had to be this long!)". This is the first time I bought eyeliners with great sense of humor. They actually explain why the name had to be that long, along with the super long name. I attached the photo so you'll know I'm not lying LoL.

For you who prefers pencil liners, this thing is a MUST HAVE item. Trust me, there are so many good feedback for this pencil liner, they all liked it. :)

But sadly, I have to sell this liner because I REALLY SUCK USING PENCIL LINER :((( idk why but I prefer liquid or gel, I'm better using them instead of pencils :( although I love Slide On, I have to sell this :( If you're interested, please contact me via e-mail. I'm selling the Azure one on IDR90,000 (still in 99% condition, only used twice) and the Jet Black on IDR85,000 (used 4-5 times, condition 96%). Negotiable price. I really love this but I'm suck on pencil liners :'( please someone buy them, I don't want these fabulous liner wasted, only staying inside my pouch :(

Pros:
★ Stays super long, I think it could be more than 12 hours 
★ Cream-like eyeliner in pencil shape. Who doesn't love this??
★ Really slides easily on your lids and lower lash line
★ Waterproof
★ Smudgeproof


Cons:
★ A bit too expensive for me :p
★ Hard to get (idk about Jakarta area but they have none in Bandung)

Maybe in another colour, but no for dark colour liners. Not that I'm disappointed with this dark liner, it's just me. I can't use pencil liners. If I could use pencil liner, I'll definitely buy all colours. The most satisfying pencil liner I've ever had :)
