Pinterest!

Sooo~ guise... have you heard about Pinterest? Or even some of you already used Pinterest? Follow me here and I'll follow you back! :)

For thos who haven't ever heard about Pinterest, let's take a closer look. You might like it if you love UPLOADING PICTURES so much! :D

What exactly is Pinterest?

"Pinterest is a pinboard-style social photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies and more. Users can browse other pinboards for inspiration, 're-pin' images to their own collections and/or 'like' photos. Pinterest's mission is to "connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting" via a global platform of inspiration and idea sharing. Pinterest allows its users to share 'pins' on both Twitter and Facebook, which allows users to share and interact with a broad community. Founded by Ben Silbermann, of West Des Moines, Iowa, the site is managed by Cold Brew Labs and funded by a small group of entrepreneurs and inventors. It is one of the “fastest growing social services in the world.”(source: Wikipedia)

Sounds very much interesting, isn't it? :D It's like you could upload THOUSANDS of photos without anyone leaving stupid or undesirable comments like at neighboring social-networking sites (*cough*). Want to see what your Pinterest page will looks like?

And below Profile Picture, fill in the description about your interests. As it already told, Pinterest is a pinboard to share your INTERESTS. Share EVERYTHING YOU LIKE.

And to make it easier to look for, Pinterest separates by Category (Food, Science, Technology, Beauty, etc) which they already heave. And for us, we could use "Boards" to separate things we like. "Boards" is truly like "pinboards" irl - in real life - we pin same-category-things pictures in one board, another category on another board. Pinterest works just like that, only without pins (no holes!) and boards!

Only like that? Nah. There's a Facebook connect, so you could add friends from your Facebook also. OR! At the first time you use Pinterest, they will suggesting some people from your interests (e.g. Photography, Fashion, Woman's Apparel, Outdoors, etc.). So you'll be redirected to follow people you don't know (or maybe you'll know some :p), and that means NEW FRIENDS! WOHOO!


And there are such common facilities: Like, and Repins.

Repins is for "re-tweeting" the pins you like, or pins you don't want to lose sight of, or you want to see it in your boards. It's like you're borrowing a copy from someone else's pin. Of course it's legal here. Haha.

And don't worry about copyrights. The images you took from internet, would be including the sources, so don't worry about not giving credits. It's already included there. Oh yeah, convinient! Plus, you don't have to worry to "flood" the timeline. It's what people do here. No worry about filthy haters comments anyway. LoL!

Try now, it maybe took about 3 days to accept the invitation, but once you accept the invitation, there you go. Have Pinterest, have fun!
